Meet Your Associate - Courtney Segrell
Courney’s journey to her current role at AOGF has been nothing short of remarkable. Graduating from SUNY Plattsburgh with a degree in Psychology, Courtney's career path took an unexpected turn when she ventured abroad to teach English. However, fate intervened upon her return to Glens Falls, where a friend alerted her to an internship opportunity at AOGF. Courtney's passion and dedication during her year-long internship quickly caught the attention of her superiors, leading to a well-deserved full-time position within the organization.
What initially drew Courtney to her role was the opportunity for daily interaction with both clients and colleagues. She thrives on building relationships and fostering connections, making her an invaluable asset to our team. Despite the demands of her professional responsibilities, Courtney emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Her secret? Remaining fully present in the moment, whether she's tackling tasks at the office or enjoying leisure time with loved ones.
Courtney finds immense fulfillment in the camaraderie she shares with her coworkers and the meaningful conversations she has with clients. She believes in the power of teamwork and collaboration, recognizing that together, we can achieve great things. For newcomers entering our industry, Courtney offers sage advice: explore the diverse array of roles available to discover where your passions lie. She attributes much of her own success to this willingness to explore and experiment.
Reflecting on her achievements, Courtney takes pride in her journey from intern to full-time employee, as well as the opportunities for growth and learning that have accompanied her tenure at AOGF.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Courtney nurtures a profound longing to explore the globe, aiming to set foot in at least 50 countries throughout her lifetime. With 15 destinations already checked off her travel bucket list, she's well on her way to achieving this goal. Courtney's interests extend far beyond the workplace, encompassing activities such as tennis, rollerblading, and cherishing moments with loved ones. Additionally, she shares a special bond with her twin sister, Cassie, often embarking on adventures together. Adding yet another dimension to her vibrant life narrative, Courtney spent time living in Istanbul, Turkey, a fact that adds depth to her worldly experiences.
